Becky Dawnson

STUDENT IMPACT COACH

Becky Dawson is a highly experienced educator with two decades of teaching experience in both primary and secondary schools. She has extensive expertise as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator and Safeguarding lead. Presently, she serves as a facilitator, consultant and coach, working closely with young people and adults to promote mental health support and wellbeing.

Becky is passionate about helping young people unlock their potential and discover their innate strengths and abilities. Through her exceptional coaching skills, she empowers them to recognize the possibilities for their personal and academic growth, while fostering their self-confidence. She specializes in working with young people who have Autism Spectrum Condition and ADHD, employing a student-centered approach to goal-setting that enables them to feel empowered and confident in their ability to achieve their aspirations.

 

Laura Flynn

STUDENT IMPACT COACH

Laura has experience of supporting students who are traditionally under-served. She has volunteered with the national social mobility charity “Career Ready” for the past 15 years and has mentored numerous students into successful careers. Career Ready has 5,000 mentors and awarded Laura Mentor of the Year in 2022. Her mentee was awarded Student of the Year. She is Chair of the Local Advisory Board that runs the programme at City and Islington College.

Laura has delivered employability and life skills training to City Academy, Hammersmith College, Lambeth College, and Croydon College. She strongly believes in the power of education and she was a Community Governor at Richard Cloudesley Special Needs School, rated Ofsted outstanding, where she Chaired the Finance, Personnel & Premises Committee.Since January 2023 Laura has developed and delivers the North Star Programme for Girls’ Success at Lambeth College in South London. This six-month programme of intensive mentoring supports teenage girls who have recently arrived in the UK seeking safety or whose first language is not English.Prior to joining Innerscope, Laura worked in the Higher Education Sector. She was a Chief Operating Officer at City, University of London for ten years. She is a qualified careers coach, workplace mediator and holds an MSc in Management from Bayes Business School.

 

Dee Sheperd

STUDENT IMPACT COACH

Dee builds rapport with ease and creates welcoming spaces where young people can breathe, relax and refocus on what they want to achieve. With over 6 years of experience within the educational space, Dee has enjoyed working and collaborating with children as young as 6 months upto 19 years. Throughout this journey, she has continued to develop her knowledge, understanding and skillset to specialise in the areas of: Youth Mentoring, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Counselling and Coaching.

Being a mum of 3 teenagers herself, Dee is kept on her toes and abreadth of the evershifting youth landscape. Dee also has a longstanding love of performance, acting and directing. She combines her pastoral and creative expertise to cultivate an environment where each young person feels; safe, valued, heard, inspired and empowered to make the changes today that will benefit their tomorrow.

 

Simone Ujah

STUDENT IMPACT COACH

Simone Ujah is a qualified and experienced Youth Worker and Life Coach with over 17 years experience working with young people in a wide range of environments, designing, delivering and evaluating numerous programmes for young people in Education, Criminal Justice System and Community organisations. From managing youth services in the community and criminal justice system, to setting up a community youth club aimed at providing a safe and fun space for young people identified as being in gangs, she continues to look at other ways she can have an impact on the experiences of young people. Simone is a Governor at a primary school and chairs a gambling harms advisory board. For fun she has a podcast that encourages conversations on the

Working at Innercope has enabled Simone to develop her skills even more as a Youth Life Coach and has motivated her to begin coaching younger clients. Simone finds the journey students embark on through the Asipre programme truly incredible and further shows how great our future leaders are. Her passion has and will always remain to continue to build deep and meaningful conversations with young people that promote growth and impact change.

 

Joshua Okunlola

STUDENT IMPACT COACH

Joshua is a Coach, Facilitator and accredited interpersonal mediator with over 15 years of experience working with young people, community and school leaders.Joshua Okunlola is a passionate and dedicated youth coach with a strong commitment to empowering young individuals to reach their full potential. With a background in psychology and extensive experience working with youth of diverse backgrounds, Joshua Okunlola has honed his skills in guiding and inspiring young people to develop confidence, resilience, and the necessary life skills to thrive in today's world.

Joshua Okunlola is a Qualified Coach, studying Transactional analysis for the past 8 years, which significantly informs my practice. In addition, I am a member of the ITAA (International transactional analysis association), ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in my coaching practice.

 

Solomon Adams

STUDENT IMPACT COACH

As a mentor, he has dedicated his time and efforts assisting young people to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. He is an advocate for the young people he works with, speaking to the greatness that exists in each and everyone of them.

With experience as the lead mentor of the Peer Mentoring Programme at the 100 Black Men of London, Solomon has worked with graduate mentees training them and working alongside them to explore the skills that would make them high value peer mentors to their fellow mentees. Over the last 10 years as a mentor and coach, Solomon has witnessed significant transformations in the youth he works with seeing them go on to become business owners, graduates from top universities, artists and empowering public speakers from an early age. His commitment to the next generation links to he future he looks to, where health, awareness, peace and love are seen through powerful actions made and not just words spoken.

 
 
 

Jeffrey Manso

STUDENT IMPACT COACH

Jeffrey embarked on a profound journey of self-discovery, driven by his desire to make a significant impact on the world. Through his experiences, he came to realize that helping individuals overcome mental barriers was the key to effecting positive change. With a genuine passion for empowering others, Jeffrey found immense joy and inner peace in witnessing the transformative power of his words in people's lives. Encouraged by these meaningful results, Jeffrey made the decision to expand his reach and assist even more individuals by embracing coaching as his ultimate vehicle for making a difference.

As a purpose coach, Jeffrey is deeply committed to assisting young people in unlocking their boundless potential and mastering their mindset. Since obtaining his coaching qualifications in September 2022, Jeffrey has been actively engaged in visiting schools across the United Kingdom to facilitate workshops and provide coaching sessions for secondary and sixth form students, guiding them on their academic and career development journeys. With his compassionate nature, understanding demeanor, and exceptional listening skills, Jeffrey creates a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can freely discuss complex and uncomfortable topics without fear of judgment.

Jeffrey's exceptional critical thinking abilities enable him to delve deep into the root causes of people's challenges. By guiding them through a process of self-reflection and introspection, Jeffrey empowers individuals to uncover practical solutions for better outcomes, ultimately leading to a more fulfilled and purposeful life. James Aidoo

CEO and Chief Storyteller at Innerscope

His background in alternative education and as a multi award-winning Youth practitioner means that James has extensive experience in tackling some of the most complex issues related to student engagement as well as team culture and leadership development for middle and senior leaders.

With an emphasis on applied emotional intelligence, Innerscope has worked with students and staff teams within the education sector and beyond through keynotes, coaching and training. As a speaker and executive coach, his client base includes companies like Pearson Edexcel, Warner Music Group and King’s College London.

 

Naomi Aidoo

DIRECTOR of Digital and Wellbeing

Naomi Aidoo is an experienced educator who taught in inner city London secondary schools for several years. Towards the end of Naomi’s teaching career, Naomi led her school’s alternative education provision, working with students who had been removed from mainstream school for reasons such as challenging behaviour and attendance. When the Year 11 students Naomi taught left the provision, all of them obtained higher GCSE grades than were predicted.

Naomi is passionate about work-life wellbeing and as Co-Director of Innerscope, she brings this to the company. With her years of teaching, coaching and volunteering experience in the Christian faith sector, with a particular skill in building a meaningful rapport with both young people and adults alike, Naomi developed a desire to support the whole person as opposed to just one area of their lives. This is what Naomi’s content and coaching is now focused on both in and outside of Innerscope. In 2021, Naomi founded ‘Time and Pace’, with which she has created a framework and self-published ‘The TIME Journal’. This framework gives those who use it an invaluable structure to map out and master the pace of their day. Naomi is currently writing a book on work-life wellbeing, which is due to be published by BRF in the summer of 2024.

OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

He is an accomplished professional with over seven years of experience in administrative roles. Throughout his career, he has excelled in various responsibilities, including email handling, invoicing, and graphic design. His expertise extends to photo editing, video editing, and web design, allowing him to create visually captivating and engaging content. Additionally, he has served as an online educator for four years, specializing in teaching Asian students with basic English speaking skills. His passion for education and his ability to connect with students have made him a highly effective and impactful teacher.
